Arthritis & Allergy Associates of Torrington is now part of the Hartford HealthCare Bone & Joint Institute specializing in Allergy and Rheumatology. The office is located in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Medical Office Building at 538 Litchfield Street, Suite 101, Torrington.
Rheumatologists from the practice are now part of the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, including Jeffrey Miller, MD, FAAAAI, who will continue to see patients in Torrington. They have also been joined by two new rheumatologists, Lia Jamian, MD and Kateryna Bertuch, MD, who are seeing patients in Torrington and in Hartford at the HHC Bone & Joint Institute Center for Rheumatology & Bone Health, Ambulatory Building, at 31 Seymour Street, Suite 206 in Harford.
The practice offers a wide range of services including joint injections, infusion/biologic therapies, ultrasound injections and diagnostics, as well as allergy/immunology evaluation and treatment.
The practice is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and accepts most major insurances.

Rheumatologists treat joint disease similar to orthopedists but do not perform surgeries. An Allergist is an internist with further training in the treatment of inhalant and food allergies, asthma and immune disorders. Common allergic diseases include hives, eczema, angioedema, and seasonal rhinitis.
- Dr. Lia Jamian attended Medical School at Ross UniversitySchool of Medicine in Dominica. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation inWeston, FL, and completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology at Vanderbilt UniversityMedical Center in Nashville, TN.
- Dr. Kateryna Bertuch attended Medical School in Vinnica Medical Pirogova University, Vinnica Ukraine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. She also completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, VT.
- Dr. Jeffrey Miller is an allergy and rheumatology specialist who attended Medical School at East Carolina School of Medicine, where he also completed his Residency and Internship. He completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Medical College of Virginia. He was Partner and President of Arthritis and Allergy Associates prior to joining Hartford HealthCare’s Medical Group.
