Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford, the home of the Hartford Yard Goats, is usually quiet on a Sunday morning. But this past Sunday,  August 13th, nearly seventy-five young people took part in the 2017 Hartford HealthCare Pitching Clinic. Presented by Hartford HealthCare Sports Medicine and the Bone and Joint Institute, the clinic featured a warmup and proper stretch training session given by the staff of HHC Sports Medicine, including Stefanie Bourassa, DPT, MSPT, CSCS, FMSC, followed by training and proper throwing techniques offered by players and the pitching staff of the Yard Goats.

Kids got to meet and talk to several of the players and found out what they do to stay fit and healthy as well as how to avoid injury while throwing a ball. Afterwards, each participant received a ticket to the afternoon Yard Goats game against the Harrisburg Senators.
