Mark A. Larson, CNRN,SCRN, has been selected to present his work on an assessment tool for muscle strength at the 2017-2018 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN).
He will present his abstract at the annual educational meeting to be held March 17 – 20 in San Diego. The title of his presentation is Muscle Strength Nursing Assessment of the Spinal Cord Injured Patient in the Neuro-Trauma Critical Care Unit.
Mark’s has been working on creating an assessment tool for muscle strength in the SCI patient that is specific to nursing – thorough enough to capture a sound assessment and yet streamlined enough that it is practical for a busy ICU nurse. Currently, there is nothing like this that exists specific to nursing.
