Celebrate Life: A Cancer Survivorship Celebration

Sept. 7 from 9:30-11:30 am

Hartford Downtown Marriott

The Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital invites you to its 30th annual celebration for cancer survivors, family, and friends. This year’s guest speaker will be Dr. Steve Sobel, coach, educator, and humorist. A full breakfast will be served and free parking will be provided.

MidState Medical Center Annual Cancer Survivors Day

Sept. 8 from 2-4 pm

Please join us for this celebration of life, with music, fun and and a balloonist for the kids. Hear stories from patients and caregivers.

Prayer Group hosted by ACTIVATE THE CURE

This is a weekly interdenominational Christian-based prayer group that gathers patients and caregivers weekly for one hour of prayer. Physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are addressed through prayer.

Gongs & Himalayan Singing Bowls Meditation

In a peaceful setting, experience the soothing sounds of Gongs and Himalayan Singing Bowls and float blissfully away into a deep meditative state where the tumultuous stress of everyday life are cleared, cleansed and washed away. Clinical studies have shown that soothing sounds can boost the immune system, decrease stress hormones, reduce aches and pains, and lower both heart rate and blood pressure. Qigong for Cancer

This is a program for people to learn powerful, evidence-based techniques, designed specifically for fighting cancer.
