On any given day in the United States, more than 115,000 people are waiting for the lifesaving gift of an organ donation – 1,200 of them here in Connecticut alone. About 4,500 people die every year while waiting for an organ.

In this HealthCare Matters podcast, Rebecca Stewart and Elliot Joseph take on the topic with transplant surgeon Dr. Patricia Sheiner from Hartford Hospital, as well as organ recipients Jane Andrews and Ashley Norton, and donor family member Jamie Davies.
