Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is presenting a health talk Oct. 23, “Migraine Prevention and Treatment,” by Dr. Hugh Cahill of the Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Learn about reducing migraines by eliminating environmental triggers, preventive and at-onset medications, and newly approved FDA medications.

The talk will be held Oct. 23 at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Conference Hall, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington from 5:30-7 pm. A light dinner will be provided prior to the presentation with a question-and-answer session to follow.

Dr. Hugh Cahill is a new neurologist with the Ayer Neuroscience Institute at CHH, 538 Litchfield Street, Suite 104 in Torrington. He is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross and attended graduate school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Marshall University and completed his internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Cahill is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and specializes in the treatment of strokes, Multiple Sclerosis and headaches.
