The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Foot Center is pleased to welcome Podiatrist Darren Winkler, DPM, who is now accepting new patients at the hospital campus at 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington, and a new specialty care satellite office located at 76 Watertown Rd, Thomaston.

Dr. Winkler received his medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, New York, NY, and served his residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY, where he received training in Biomechanics. His areas of interest include surgery and Diabetic foot care and management. Dr. Winkler is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
The CHH Foot Center offers assistance to help patients maintain healthy feet and provide effective, timely diagnosis of foot related medical issues. These include Achilles Tendon, ankle instability and sprains, arthritic foot and ankle care, athletes foot, bunions, calluses, corns, hammertoes, heel spurs, and ingrown toenails. The Center also assists with crush injuries, diabetic foot wounds, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, and overall geriatric foot care.
Dr. Winkler will be practicing with current Podiatrists Dennis D’ Onofrio, DPM, FACFAS, and Benish Ali, DPM. The Foot Center is located in the hospital’s Turner Coe Building, connected to the Main Tower Building at 540 Litchfield Torrington with parking and an entrance behind the Memorial Building. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Center also offers additional office hours on selected days at 200 New Hartford Road, Winsted, and 76 Watertown Road, Thomaston, CT.
