The Chase Family Movement Disorders Center at the Hartford HealthCare Ayer Neuroscience Institute held its first-ever “Stars Dancing for Parkinson’s” event recently.

Volunteers from all over the community and local media came together to raise money for Parkinson’s research and awareness.

On the dance floor were a patient fighting Parkinson’s for ten years, a grandfather who dances with his granddaughter as part of his treatment for the disease, a neurologist who wowed the crowd, and a local television meteorologist who walked away with the trophy!

This sellout event raised more than $50,000 to help with research and programs to help in the fight against Parkinson’s Disease.
