Newly constructed Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center will replace Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s former urgent care walk-in center, less than a mile away.

GoHealth Urgent Care, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing urgent care companies, together with its partner Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network and an affiliate of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH), today announced the opening of the newly constructed Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center in Torrington, Conn.

Open as of today, the new Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center is at The Shops at Sky Top at 996 East Main Street in Torrington, less than a mile away from CHH’s former urgent care walk-in center at 1598 East Main Street, which closed Jan. 13. All patients in need of urgent care services should visit the new Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center.

“We are thrilled to open our first Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center to patients in Torrington, further expanding our partnership in Connecticut with Hartford HealthCare,” said Sarah Arora, northeast regional president of GoHealth Urgent Care. “We remain committed to our mission of providing unparalleled experiences and high-quality urgent care to people in places where they live and work, and we look forward to bringing this same level of care to the families of Northwest Connecticut.”

With this new center now open in Torrington, Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care’s network of urgent care centers across Connecticut has expanded to 16 locations. Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care also plans to open a new center at Corbins Corner in West Hartford in early February.

“We want to thank all of the staff and providers of the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital walk-in center over the years for their dedicated work and support in providing a critical healthcare option to local patients,” said Dan McIntyre, senior vice president of Hartford HealthCare Northwest Region. “The announced changes and enhancements to the hospital’s urgent care services are part of a larger strategy for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, the Northwest Region and across the Hartford HealthCare System. Our partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care continues to enable us to serve patients right here in our community.”

The new Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center in Torrington will offer the same convenient services – onsite laboratory and X-rays, online check-in, electronic medical record integration, same day/walk-in visits and short wait times – as the CHH urgent care walk-in center. The new center will also provide virtual visits with a Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care provider via a mobile device, tablet or computer from wherever a patient is located in Connecticut.

All Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at least from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including holidays. For more information, please click here.
