Hartford HealthCare Family Health Center, a familiar presence in central and eastern Connecticut, is reaching into new territory with its latest location in Prospect that opened in April and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting July 20 at 73 Waterbury Road.

Prospect, a small town (population: 9,494) south of Waterbury that was once rated one of of the nation’s best by Money magazine, and the surrounding area will now find some of its favorite family physicians — including Drs. Dmitry Albin, Alexander Alvarez and Aditi Mukherji — at the new health center.

Prospect Family Health Center

The center, modeled after the popular Hartford HealthCare (HHC) family health centers across the state, will provide these new programs:

  • Primary Care.
  • Offices for specialty services that include general surgery and urology.
  • A community health education room.

The center is a first in the Prospect community, providing a multi-site model with complimentary services and convenient access to care.

They include:

  • Enhanced access to primary care.
  • Integration of primary care with behavioral health services.  Many patients have a combination of physical and mental health issues and offering these services together is more convenient for patients.
  • Rehabilitation/physical therapy.

”We’re building a team of primary care and specialty providers in Central Connecticut that gives residents access to the best care possible close to home,” says Vincent DiBattista, president of the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group. “Whether it’s managing your family’s health by connecting to a primary care provider or if you need specialty care like urology or general surgery, Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offers a wide array of services, all connected to Hartford HealthCare — Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network.”
