Arthritis may be one of those stereotypical diseases of aging – there are more than 3 million cases diagnosed each year – but older people don’t need to give in to the pain and limitation this inflammation of the joints can cause.

Dr. John Magaldi, director of rheumatology at the Hartford Healthcare Bone & Joint Institute, will offer the free talk “Arthritis and Aging” on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the Hartford Hospital Wellness Center at Blue Back Square, 75 Memorial Road, Suite 425, West Hartford.

The talk will address:

• Common causes and types of arthritis.
• How to manage the symptoms of arthritis daily.
• Available treatment options.

The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Dr. Magaldi.

Registration for “Arthritis and Aging” is required. Click here or call 855.HHC.HERE (855.442.4373).
