Connecticut’s Lieutenant Governor, Susan Bysiewicz, toured the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute in Plainville Aug. 8. Led by Dr. Camelia Lawrence, Director of Breast Surgery at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center, the center’s multidisciplinary team explained how breast care coordination and same-day services provide an exceptional experience for patients.

With access to expert teams of primary care and gynecology physicians, radiologists, pathologists, breast and oncologic surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurse navigators, and a wide range of support staff, patients are provided with compassionate, expert care, all under one roof.
