Meet the first babies born at Hartford HealthCare hospitals in 2017!
Gia Burns was born at Hartford Hospital on Jan. 1 at 12:29 AM. She weighed 7 lbs, 14 oz, and measured 21 inches long! The daughter of Angela and Michael Burns of Southington, Gia made her appearance just one day after her parents’ first wedding anniversary!
At 8:13 AM on New Year’s Day, Jayden Joel Ocasio became the first baby of the year at Windham Hospital. He is the first child born to Amanda Marcial and Joel Ocasio of Willimantic.
Maverick McCarthy arrived on Jan. 1 at 11:13 AM – 12 days early – to become the first baby born at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The son of Plainville’s Melissa and Aaron McCarthy, he weighed 8 lbs., 2.6 oz, and measured 19.5 inches.
At 10:04 PM on Jan. 1, Elise Kassidee Ouellette became the first baby born at Backus Hospital. Elise weighed in at 6lbs, 6 oz. and adds to a growing family for Sarah and Matthew Ouellette of Plainfield, which includes (L-R) Liam, Isabella and Landon.
