Lori Baranowski, RN, has a passion for helping women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, which is why she was recently hired as the breast cancer nurse navigator for the Hartford Health-Care Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

In her new role, Lori serves as the welcoming face for breast cancer patients who come to the cancer center in New Britain for care, guiding them along their journey and making sure they get the course of treatment that best suits their needs. Nurse navigators like Lori make sure breast cancer patients and families have all their questions answered and work closely with each patient’s team of doctors, nurses, pathologists and other clinical staff to make sure they receive the right care for them.

Lori previously worked with cancer patients as care coordinator on the inpatient oncology unit at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. She has a Master’s in Public Administration and is certified in case management and hospice and palliative care.
